This Urban Drainage and Flood Control District Capitol
Improvement Project was an enhancement of a
pre-existing, steadily flowing tributary in an existing
neighborhood. To decrease the potential of flooding
during high run-off periods, the overall elevation of
the channel was lowered and ten shotcrete/structural
concrete drop structures were constructed to dissipate
energy and collect sediment, while remaining
aesthetically pleasing to the community. In addition to
the drop structures and channel work, three box culvert
bridges, several substantial water control/collection
structures, and numerous utility relocations we self
performed by American Infrastructure crews. |
