This large diameter gravity flow sewer interceptor crosses and follows the South Platte River for over four
miles through busy streets, parks, two golf courses and
a bald eagle nesting area. This complex public works
project was performed flawlessly by a full compliment of
American Infrastructure crews in all disciplines of our
expertise. Under extreme conditions – tight construction
zones, ground water, winter working weather, flat grades
and environmental concerns, American Infrastructure
completed this challenging project on budget and well
ahead of schedule. Working closely with the engineers,
the sanitation district, the City of Littleton, Parks
and Recreation and numerous private land owners,
American Infrastructure used this difficult project to
build new relationships and strengthen existing ones.
American Infrastructure personnel used this same
attitude of turning challenges into opportunities as
they built an open-cut, 400 cubic yard structural
concrete utility encasement well below the South Platte
River. This complex river crossing was completed without
incident, well ahead of schedule, with no detrimental
effects to the sensitive environment of the historical
South Platte River. |
